Stay Kratos, Just A Bit Longer...

–Zora to Kratos

Zora and Lora are the twin daughters of Aphrodite, and Kratos' lovers.

God of War[]

Zora and Lora first appear in Kratos' bedchamber aboard his ship. They insist Kratos stays with them a bit longer, and Kratos can do so by jumping onto the bed which initiates a minigame. As Kratos has sex with them, a vase nearby will bounce until it drops onto the floor.

Kratos eventually leaves the two women to begin his journey, much to their chagrin. He tells them to collect their things and leave his ship when he arrives at Athens. Kratos also mentioned in his personal journal that they and other women he took reminded him of his wife.

God of War II[]

Zora and Lora reappear in the opening sequence of the game, at Kratos' feet, who is now the God of War after defeating Ares. They appear to be his consorts at this point after being ruthlessly chased away in the first game. It is unknown as to their final fate is after this point.

Appearance[]

Being twins and Aphrodite's daughters, they are both beautiful young women with long brown hair, brown eyes, fair skin. One of the twins wore a loincloth and a golden headdress that divided her hairstyle in half. The other wore a sheet around her waist that covered her pubic area and buttocks, bracelets and a gold necklace.

In the censored version, they wore a metallic top that covers their breasts.

Personality[]

Although their personalities are not clear, it can be said that both were similar to their mother: both are libinous and promiscuous. They enjoy having sex with Kratos as a means of gratitude for saving them.

Trivia[]

  • Their names are given in the novelization, where it is also revealed that they are daughters of Aphrodite, which the goddess herself reveals to Kratos when they meet in Athens.
    • The name 'Zora' is of Slavic origin and means "dawn." While 'Lora' is of Spanish origin and is closely associated with the term laurel, which symbolizes honor and victory.
  • Additionally, it is revealed that the Boat Captain has locked them away in a magically sealed room, after several of his crew members died while sleeping with them. The sisters regard them as "not man enough" and were happy and impressed by Kratos' "performance", which also impressed their mother when they told her.
  • They are the only known children of Aphrodite to appear in-game.
  • The depiction of Lora and Zora is never consistent. In the full-motion CGI videos within God of War and God of War II, they are shown as one blonde and one brunette. In gameplay, they are both brunettes. In the novel, they are both described as redheads.
  • Because of the Japanese video game age rating system (CERO), the Japanese version (NTSC-J version) of the game and other God of War games that came before God of War (2018), nudity was censored, with topless women all given tops and monsters were either covered or their nipples removed in both gameplay, cutscenes and pre-rendered cutscenes.
  • In God of War II, the character models of Zora and Lora in the intro cutscene wear the same top from the censored Japanese version of the first God of War.
