I offer you the power of the greatest of all the gods, the father of Olympus, I offer you the power of Zeus.

–Zeus

Zeus' Fury was a power that was given to Kratos by Zeus, during Kratos journey through Athens. It allowed Kratos to summon bolts of lightning in his hands, and throw them at distant enemies. A player could also level it up to increase the power and firing speed of the bolts. Kratos used those bolts in order to break the chain that Ares used that held Pandora's Box.

Trivia[]

  • The symbol of Zeus' Fury was similar to the symbol of Cronos' Rage, which made sense, since Cronos was Zeus' father.
  • It could be useful in the fight with Ares: when Ares levitated and started throwing fireballs at Kratos, using Zeus` Fury could force Ares back to the ground.
    • If Kratos fired bolts at Ares while he blocked with his spider-like legs, it caused the bolts to ricochet and fly away.
  • Zeus' Fury was also used by Kratos in the God of War demake, Bit of War.
  • Although Zeus' Fury had the power to kill enemies from a distance in God of War, Kratos wasn't able to collect their Orbs if they were too far from him. In that game, there was a maximum range between Kratos and the orbs in which he could absorb them. If he took too long to reach that range, the orbs disappeared and were lost. This was fixed in the later games, where Kratos could collect orbs from any distance.
  • In God of War: Ascension, at level 1 of the elemental power, the Lightning of Zeus, the most basic combo was called Zeus' Fury.
  • Zeus's Fury was used by Zeus in his fight against Kratos in God Of War II on the Summit of Sacrifice.
