The War Machines are a type of Asgardian armory, Bifröst cannons created by the Dwarves at the request of Odin, these cannons were used in Ragnarök to stop the armies of the Nine Realms led by Kratos, but later these War Machines War would be destroyed by Sindri
Plot[]
Some time before Ragnarök, during the slavery of the Dwarves, Odin ordered them to create the War Machines, to prevent or stop Ragnarök in the event that it came.
By the time Loki arrives in Asgard and Odin takes him to Svartalfheim, we get our first view of these cannons.
At the beginning of Ragnarök, the Asgardian army uses the War Machines to destroy the towers of the Nine Realms, with these the towers of Niflheim could be destroyed, later they would be used again to stop Surtr already converted into Ragnarök, but then Sindri would destroy them with a sonic attack, in turn injuring several Midgardian refugees.
