Trophies are awards received for accomplishing certain tasks in God of War III and God of War III Remastered. There are 36 trophies for the original game, consisting of 1 Platinum, 5 Gold, 10 Silver and 20 Bronze trophies. In the remastered version, there are 35 trophies, consisting of 1 Platinum, 5 Gold, 11 Silver and 18 Bronze.
The original God of War III was released on PlayStation 3. Later the game was remastered and released on PlayStation 4 under the title God of War III Remastered. The Remastered version has a separate trophy set, which while almost identical, have a few changes with the biggest being removing one trophy. For more details, check below.

There are a few minor changes from the original PS3 version and the remastered for PS4 version.
- The trophy "I didn’t do it... But I wish I did!" requiring you to kill the Poseidon's Princess have been removed in the Remastered version.
- The trophy "Hitting Your Stride" requiring you to upgrade any weapon to next level, have been upgraded from "Bronze" to "Silver" type of trophy.
- The trophy "Rip One!" requiring you to rip one Olympus Sentry, have been renamed to "Torn Up".
- The trophy "Hooker" requiring you to kill Hades, have been renamed to "Depths Below".
- The trophy "Are You Horny to Win?" requiring you to collect all the Minotaur Horns, have been renamed to "Horn of Plenty".
