The bird's head on the hilt[]

Does anyone see the Bird's head on the hilt? It may be hard to see on the GOWII version but I can definitely see it on the PS3 GOWIII version. Considering Athena's connections with birds, this doesn't seem surprising (hence Blades of Athena). I know that the Blades of Chaos and Exile have demon faces on them but this looks different somehow.

Actually I noticed them too but they closely resemble the original Blades of Chaos to my eyes. It seemed so in the artwork and official images in-game. Debochira 04:26, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

How are The Blades of Athena attached to Kratos?[]

  • If there's any information out there it would be good in the Trivia section. I know they aren't burned to his flesh in any way.CombustionMan 07:48, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
I know the Blades of Chaos are seared to his flesh according to cutscenes in God of War, but the manner of attachment for the Blades of Athena and Exile isn't said or shown anywhere in the games that I know of. Ghost Leader 09:29, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
I believe they are attached to his gauntlets. I remember reading somewhere that they were attached to braciers but I can't be certain nor can I give the source as I forgot it. Seeing as how the BoC did not have gauntlets beneath, it is fair to say with 90% certainty that the BoA and BoE are attached to the gauntlets themselves rather than Kratos' own flesh. Speaking of how the blades are attached to Kratos, how do they stay on his back? They just seem to stick there without anything holding them up. Shmeagle Two wrongs don't make a right, but they do make a good exuse 08:26, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
