Spire of the Fates.
Towering high above the Island of Creation is a massive Spire that juts forth through the ground and pierces the sky with its height. Within it, dwell the Sisters of Fate. The spire actually appears as a gigantic statue of a bird (most likely the Phoenix) with its wings wrapped around itself. As Kratos makes his way through the Palace of the Fates, and sacrifices the Palace Translators, the spire opens its "wings" and "mouth". After killing the Kraken, Kratos harnesses the Phoenix. He flies up to the mouth of the spire, leaps inside, and finds himself inside the Temple of the Fates.
