Spiked Walls are a type of trap that's found numerous times throughout the God of War series.
In God of War Series[]
In God of War: Chains of Olympus[]
In God of War: Chains of Olympus, after Kratos obtains the Gauntlet of Zeus, he escapes the Crypt by running down a narrow hall way, while keeping ahead of an incoming spiked wall.
In God of War[]
In God of War, when Kratos obtains the Shield of Hades, a spiked wall begins closing in, and he must kill all of the Undead Legionnaires and Fallen Legionnaires before he gets crushed.
In God of War II[]
In God of War II, in the Temple of Euryale, a very narrow corridor with a spiked wall is the final trap Kratos must traverse before confronting Euryale herself. In the Palace of the Fates, beyond the Auditorium of Lahkesis, Kratos enters a curved hallway, and spiked walls then begin to close in from both directions. Before he's crushed, he must then kill off all of the Undead Legionnaires and Fates Sentries that show up.
In God of War III[]
Inside the throat of Cronos in God of War III, a similar obstacle of black, mulched flesh acts the same way as the spiked walls in the other games.
In God of War (2018)[]
In God of War (2018), a spiked wall could be found in the Heart of the Mountain area and will automatically open if he throws the Leviathan Axe on the wooden door parts and, unlike previous God of War games, the spiked walls now have a metal gear that could be frozen with the Leviathan Axe in order to avoid getting crushed by the spiked walls.
