Skjóthendi the Unerring is one of the twelve Berserkers that can be fought as an optional boss in God of War Ragnarök. Skjothendi can be encountered in the Mist Fields of Niflheim.

Norse Tradition[]

In Hrólfr Kraki's saga, Hrólfr skjóthendi was one of the twelve berserkers who served King Hrólf Kraki.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Skjóthendi was a warrior in the Midgardian kingdom of Lejre who served under Hrólf Kraki, along with eleven fellow berserkers. She participated in Hrólf's seizure of the crown, where she earned the epithet "the Unerring". Upon his death, Skjóthendi's spirit went onto inhabit the Hilt of Skofnung.

God of War Ragnarok[]

Kratos defeated Skjóthendi's spirit and channeled her powers through Skofnung.

Description[]

"Unerring" feels a fitting title as her aim was true, however Mimir tells me she earned it during her days as an assassin. Her targets would meet their ends without fail, but not until after every ally around them had been killed first."

Quotes[]

  • "Your death will honor my king!"
  • "Death to the enemies of Lejre!"
  • ”Is this all you got?”
  • ”That’s it, Really?”
  • ”Get up! I want a challenge.”
  • ”No! I wasn’t finished!”

Trivia[]

  • Despite Kratos being able to fight any Berserkers at the start, Skjóthendi & Haklangr are the only ones Kratos can't fight directly after encountering Harðrefill's tombstone.
  • Unlike the other berserkers who berated Kratos, Skjóthendi is the only one who respected Kratos.
