Sindri's hammer is the primary tool we see him use for creating weapons and sometimes for fighting.
In the God of War Series[]
Sindri's hammer was likely created for simply crafting weapons and self defense (as he's seen using it for both anyways). You can see Sindri battle various creatures using his hammer, but also many items he's pulling out of his magical bag. Sometime after Brok's death, Sindri can be seen using Brok's hammer instead of his own to finish crafting a sword and to kill various enemies. Beyond this point we no longer get to see Sindri using his hammer.
