The Fire Steeds are the winds of the skies that draw the Sun Chariot of the Sun God Helios. Here rests Boreas, the North Wind, who leads the path of the Sun Chariot and guides his brothers Zephyros, Euros and Notos on their perpetual voyage, drawing the sun across the skies.

–Book text in the Temple of the Fire Steeds.

Steed shrine 2

The Steeds are awakened in the shrine.

This is a large shrine on the outskirts of the Temple of Helios. It contains statues of all three of the Fire Steeds. Kratos comes to this place after traversing the city of Marathon, and then continues his way to the temple itself. After awakening all three of the Fire Steeds, Kratos returned to the shrine and released them.
