Description[]
Shield Maidens are a group of corrupted Valkyries that Kratos and Atreus had freed by destroying the physical forms before Fimbulwinter started. In preparation of Ragnarök, Freya used her Vanir magic to give them newly better physical and corporeal forms, thus preventing them from getting turned again by Odin's corrupt magic. This time with better combat armor with more organic, bird-like wings unlike the Valkyrie's metallic ones.
The now Shield Maidens, joined forces with Kratos' army against the Asgardian armies and they would later gathered in Hoddmimi's Holt with other survivors after the realms destruction. After Gná's death, the sole Valkyrie queen, Mimir advised Freya in leading the Shield Maidens again and Thrúd with Mjölnir in hand would likely be training to become one of the Shield Maidens.
