The Shatter Star Shield is wielded by Kratos in God of War: Ragnarök.
Description[]
The Shatter Star Shield is a shield that Kratos can acquire from a Legendary Chest, at The Abandoned Village in Vanaheim. This shield charges up energy whilst Kratos is blocking, and its L1 ability allows Kratos to punch the shield and blast that energy at enemies.

While playing on New Game+, if the Shatter Star Shield has been upgraded to Level 9, Kratos has the option to replace it by asking Brok and Sindri to craft its "+" variant.

Trivia[]
- The Shatter Star Shield's "Shield Punch" seems to be based on Guardian's Justice and Guardian's Judgement, two attacks which were unlockable for the Guardian Shield in God of War (2018).
- Guardian's Justice was an R2-Hold attack which would allow Kratos to spin forward and firmly draw his shield open, staggering enemies.
- Guardian's Judgement was a follow-up R2 attack that allowed Kratos to then fire a concussive blast, that could send enemies tumbling back or flying away, depending on their size.
