Shadows are Seiðr Reavers who use deadly magic. They are projectile-based enemies that prefer to attack from afar or on high areas. Shadows have low health, so usually a couple of arrows from Atreus, or a toss of the Leviathan Axe is enough to put them down. However, they can move around quickly by teleporting to safety, before attacking. They are first encountered during the battle between Kratos and a group of hungry cannibalistic Reavers in the Jötnar Marketplace.
