Greek History
Rhodes was the great harbor city of ancient Greece and the site of the legendary Colossus of Rhodes.
In God of War II
In God of War II, as the new God of War, Kratos goes to Rhodes, which is under siege by his fellow Spartans, to deliver the final blow to the city. There, he battles the Rhodes Soldiers and ultimately the Colossus of Rhodes itself, which is animated by godly power. The battle of Rhodes becomes the start of Kratos' journey to the Island of Creation and his ultimate war against the Gods.
