Ragnarök is a major event in Nordic Mythology, where an ultimate battle occurs resulting in the death of many gods, including Odin and Thor, as well as the "rebirth" of the world through submersion into water. It is the Nordic version of the apocalypse.
God of War (2018)
Through most of God of War (2018), it is only referenced. However at the end of the story, hints of its beginning is brought closer due to the death of Baldur. In Nordic Mythology, the death of Baldur causes Fimbulwinter, which is a winter that lasts three years and marks the beginning of an oncoming Ragnarök.
