Orkos is a supporting character in God of War: Ascension and is voiced by Troy Baker. Apparently, Orkos is fictional and doesn't seem to be related to Greek Mythology, but some people consider him to be a Primordial (in his case, one of the sons of Eris) and the divine manifestation of the oath.
In Greek Mythology
There is a characer in the mythology that is, actually, the personification of the oaths and the punishment for breaking this oaths. His name is Horcus, and says he was born at the same time that the Furies, all sons of Eris.
Not much is known about Orkos, but what can be gathered in the Unchained video for Ascension he seems to be helping Kratos break his bond with Ares and help him escape the Furies.
Orkos first appears to Kratos, alarming him and causing the Spartan to attack, but Kratos ceases his onslaught when Orkos explains he's there to help him. Orkos then senses that the Furies are arriving. He doesn't want them to know he's helping Kratos, and will hold them off but not before telling Kratos to go to Delphi, where the Manticore resides, and find the Oracle.
Powers & Abilities
It is unkown what species Orkos belongs to, but he is clearly not human.
- Teleportation - Orkos can teleport in a shadow-like manner.
- Orkos is voiced by Troy Baker.
- "Orkos" means "oath" in both the modern and ancient Greek language.
- It is very strange that the spirit of oath is helping Kratos in his quest in Ascension and even trying to help him against the Furies, since the reason they are hunting the Spartan is because he broke his oath with Ares. Orkos would most likely help the Furies against him, but untill the game is released, his reasons to do this will remain unknown.
