Greek Mythology
In Greek mythology, Olympus is the Legendary home of the Gods. It was built by the Cyclops, and was located on top of Mount Olympus.
In the God of War Series
There is a small shrine-like entrance to Olympus on the Suicide Bluffs behind a small golden gate. After the death of Ares, Kratos took his place as the God of War on top of the mountain. After Kratos and Zeus battle, Zeus flees to Olympus to unite with the other gods against Kratos when he lead the Titans up Olympus causing the place to shatter and shake.
