Codex[]

The leader of the Kol Raiders will threaten the wolves of Midgard no longer. Aterus has grown close to Speki and Svanna since their rescue, but over time, I have come to rely on them as well. They are loyal and well-mannered. For the most part. I hope I have been able to put their troubled minds at ease, now that this Oluf will never lay hands on them again.

Valhalla[]

I must admit... fighting the leader of the Kol Raiders again was a battle I did not mind revisiting. As the leader of his band of wolf-eaters, he deserves every death I can give him. I'am pleased we were able to rescue Speki and Savanna from him so long ago. They miss you nearly as much as I do.

Appearance[]

Oluf Nautson is a very tall man, who wears worn clothing like the other Raiders do. He wears a gray mask that covers his face showing his bright purple eyes.

In God of War Ragnarök[]

Backstory[]

He is the Chief of the Kol Raiders, and he is related to something that happened with Kratos and Atreus during the Fimbulwinter.

At some point during Fimbulwinter, Oluf Nautson hunted and killed several wolves with the Kol Raiders, but at one point, he encountered Kratos and Atreus, who rescued his wolves, Speki & Svanna, and (possibly) Fenrir.

God of War Ragnarök[]

Some time later, Oluf Nautson would meet again with Kratos, who was killing the Kol Raiders so that they would stop hunting wolves and Midgard would be left in peace. After a tough fight, Oluf would be killed by Kratos.

After the death of Oluf Nautson, Speki & Svanna are still distress which Kratos eventually comfort them and patting their heads presumably the wolves are relief.

God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla[]

After Ragnarök, Kratos would travel to Valhalla where he would have encountered of memory and illusory several reunions with old adversaries from the Nine Realms, among them would be Oluf Nautson.

Personality[]

Like the other Kol Raiders, Oluf is a ruthless, corrupt, and murderous chieftan, who kills people and wolves.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Superhuman Strength: Being the Chief of the Kol Raiders and his size and having a giant mace as a weapon, shows that Oluf Nautson has great strength.
  • Healing: Using some potions he has, spraying them on his face, Oluf can heal his wounds.

Equipment[]

  • Giant mace: It is a giant mace of bones, and it also has fire, with which when it hits the ground, it can burn the floor and thus hurt its enemies.
  • Potions: Potions that, when sprayed on your face, gives you the ability to regenerate your wounds.

Trivia[]

  • Oluf Nautson is the only Raider who has a name and is optional boss in the whole game.
    • Despite having appeared in a side quest, he is a minor but pivotal character whose role is notorious for hunting and eating wolves where Kratos and Atreus indirectly save Speki & Svanna.
    • A glitch allows Oluf to respawn at any of the other camps the player already cleared out, after he is defeated, this means that the player can fight him, and get his loot, up to 4 times
    • When returning to a cleared Kol Raider Camp (not entirely sure about the condition for this, might have to come back after a certain mission) Hel variants of previously killed raiders will appear, the camp where the player killed Oluf Nautson will also have a Hel Raider Chief who wears an identical mask to that of Nautson, this enemy, however, does not have a name or healthbar displayed on top of the screen like Oluf does. There is also no unique dialogue for fighting/killing this enemy, so this being Oluf Nautson coming back as a Hel-Walker is conjecture at best.
