The Mirrors of Destiny are giant mirrors, located at the highest ledge of Clotho's Loom Chamber.

Within the mirrors, it shows various past events of a person's life. When Kratos kills Clotho, he takes control of his thread, and with it 'rewinds' the events of his past as shown in the mirror.
Kratos then first goes through the mirrors to get back to the time when Zeus betrayed him. After engaging the King-God in battle, Kratos then accidentally kills Athena, and watches as Zeus flees back to Olympus.
Kratos then returns back to the chamber, and travels back in time, to the moment when the Great War ended, getting Gaia and the other Titans back to his time. Kratos and the Titans then appear at Mount Olympus, where a baffled Zeus and the rest of the Gods prepare to make a final stand.
