King Aldis was a king that was mentioned in God of War Ragnarök. Mimir became the advisor for Aldis before he was murdered by Hrólfr Kraki.
Norse Tradition[]
Eadgils/Aðísl was a semi-legendary Swedish King who appears in both Anglo-Saxon and Norse tradition. According to both traditions, Eadgils was the son of Ohthere and described as an Yngling, a member of a legendary Swedish royal family. As the king of Uppsala, Eadgils got his revenge by killing his father-in-law, Helgi from kidnapping Eadgils wife, Yrsa, thus also making Eadgils king of Lejre.
As Helgi had a child with Yrsa, named Hrólfr Kraki wanted revenge on Eadgils for murdering his father by assembling a group of twelve berserkers thus killing Eadgils.
Biography[]
Early life[]
King Aldis once ruled over a Midgardian kingdom of Lejre. His advisor Mimir, vouched Hrólf Kraki. Hrólf and his twelve Berserkers immediately killed and deposed Aldis, allowing Hrólf to usurp power and become King of Lejre, causing Mimir to shamefully regret his actions. Hrólf and his Berserkers eventually died, but their souls continue to linger in his sword, Skofnung.
God of War: Ragnarök[]
Years later, Mimir and his companion Kratos found the Hilt of Skofnung, finally giving Mimir the chance to avenge Aldis and undo his mistake. After slaying all the Berserkers, Kratos confronted and slayed King Hrólf himself, bringing Mimir peace.
