Mythology
Being Mortal means that the being in question is capable of death, or dying is human and is not immune to diseases and viruses. Most Gods and Titans are Immortal and cannot die, with a few exceptions.
In the God of War series
Before becoming a god, and after being stripped of his powers, Kratos was and became again mortal, but still possessed inhuman strenght and durability due to being born a Demigod. Many other characters and beings through the games are mortal too, and some of that is actually proven and/or shown such as the Spartan warriors. The barbarians from the East and their leader Alrik, also possessed strength and durability probably due to their size.
