Norse Tradition[]
In Hrólfr Kraki's saga, Hjalti inn hugprúði was one of the twelve berserkers who served King Hrólf Kraki.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Hjalti was a mortal warrior in the Midgardian kingdom of Lejre, where she served under Hrólf Kraki, along with her eleven fellow berserkers. She was present when Hrólf usurped the crown, where she earned the epithet "the Stolid". Upon her death, Hjalti's spirit went onto inhabit the Hilt of Skofnung, the sword of Hrólf Kraki.
God of War Ragnarok[]
Kratos defeated Hjalti's spirit and channeled her powers through Skofnung.
Description[]
"A Berserker of King Hrólf we defeated in the deserts of Alfheim. Known for her "force" as Mimir puts it. During her life, after she had defeated an opponent, she would not stay her maces. Hjalti would continue her assault long after the body was beyond recognition. This Hrólf kept truly depraved company."
