Hel-Walkers are undead warriors that appear in God of War (2018).

They come from Helheim.

Description

They are humanoid foes with a blue and white coloration and resistance to ice. They are mostly all resistant to the Leviathan Axe's attacks, requiring either fists or the Blades of Chaos to put them down. If they are stunned, Kratos can pull them closer to deliver a punch to the stomach, then grab one of their legs to make them fall and crush their skull with his feet, creating an explosion of ice that applies Freeze status to the enemies.

Types of Hel-Walker

Hel-Walkers come in a variety of different classes

  • Hel-Viken
  • Hel-Traveller
  • Hel-Shadow
  • Hel-Revenant
  • Hel-Reaver
  • Hel-Reaver Lord
  • Hel-Reaver Guard
  • Hel-Brood

Trivia

  • Originally, they were supposed to be regular Norse warriors, but they were eventually replaced by the Hel-Walkers as seen in footage from the Greenlight Demo 2015.[1]
    • Regular human warriors can only be fought once in the game.
  • The Hel-Walkers are similar in nature to the White Walkers from the book series A Song of Ice and Fire, commonly known by it's television adaptation, Game of Thrones.
