Gorm is one of Odin's new Einherjar.
Appearence[]
His appearance is like an average Einherhar, a muscular pale bald man, who only wears leather pants, but also wears a shoulder armor of leather. Before being blessed by Odin, Gorm had no marks and his eyes were black and empty.
Plot[]
When Atreus arrives in Asgard, Gorm along with Hrothgar and Janna arrive to be blessed by Odin. After being blessed, he and the others leave ready to train and fight hard.
His fate after Ragnarök is unknown, but it is highly likely that he died before or after Ragnarök.
Personality[]
There isn't much about his personality, but it is assumed that he is loyal to Odin.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Immortality: Like all Einherjar, they are immortals and will simply be banished back to Valhalla when slain.
- Bifröst Energy Manipulation: Also like all Einherjar, he can enchant his weapons with Bifröst.
Trivia[]
- Gorm might be a real historical figure, Gorm the Old (Gorm den Gamle), the king of Denmark between c. 936 to his death in either c. 958, 963 or 964. He was a Norse pagan ruler, which was ironic given that his son and eventual successor Harald Bluetooth (Old Norse: Haraldr Blátǫnn) was an ardent Christian who introduced the religion to Denmark and forced his subjects to abandon the Old Faith, portraying the gods (Odin, Thor, etc.) as demons.
- Harald was also the namesake of Bluetooth wireless; the logo is a combination of the Younger Futhark runes for his initials: H (ᚼ) and B (ᛒ).
