History[]

Freya's bow first appears in God of War (2018) and later appears in the later installments, God of War Ragnarök and God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. When Kratos and Atreus first meet Freya, she carried around a Vanir bow. In later appearances she helps them using her bow strings power. During this particular scene, her bowstring was revealed to be imbued with the Light of Alfheim. Freya, thoughtfully used her magic and took the light to imbue it with Atreus' Talon Bow's string instead.

When Freya returns in the next game she can be seen still owning her bow. During this point she can get many upgrades for her bow and when she reconciles with Kratos, she will then be seen providing ranged attacks for Kratos to assist in their collaborative journey.

Description[]

Freya's bow is made from beautifully wrapped and woven, golden Vanir branches. In later appearances the bowstring is shown to be golden, sometimes glowing when she's using magic.

The handle is a golden/orange color. When Freya isn't using her Bow, she holds it on her back along with her other weapons, Mardöll and Thrungva.
