Fiery Fate is the first of five Challenges of Hades.
In this task, Kratos must kill 50 Persian Warriors using only fire. This can only be accomplished by using the Efreet. During set points in the challenge, Cyclops will appear, and will attempt to kill both Kratos and the soldiers. If the cyclops kills a soldier, the challenge will fail. If Kratos kills a Cyclops however, it won't affect the result.
Restrictions[]
- 50 Persian Soldiers must be killed via the Efreet power.
Strategy[]
The challenge is not difficult, but is rather long. Magic should not be a problem as there are two chests that can refill Magic while the Persian Warriors yield Blue Orbs.
The Persians will appear infinitely but only five will be operative at any given time, it is best to gather the five of them as close as possible before employing the Efreet. The more leveled Efreet is, the better it will be as its wide radius can kill all five soldiers easily.
As soon as the first batch of five soldiers is killed, Cyclops will start spawning, one at a time, from either the left or right side of the map and cycle from there. Cyclops will mostly focus on killing soldiers so they must be dealt with quickly. The Gauntlet of Zeus is ideal to quickly defeat the Cyclops before it is allowed to attack any Soldier. One should avoid using the Gauntlet of Zeus when Soldiers appear, as a single hit can kill them and thus fail the challenge. If Cyclops and Soldiers are both present, it is best to simply use the Efreet to incinerate the Soldiers and weaken the Cyclops.
For good measure, Magic should be refilled when it is about to be fully depleted, rather than when fully depleted. This allows the player to burn Soldiers in the case a Cyclops appears and proceed after the Cyclops threat has been eliminated.
