Faye's knife is a weapon and tool used by Laufey and Atreus.
The knife was to be cremated alongside the remains of Laufey, Atreus's mother, but noticing its presence, Atreus quickly saves it from the flames, burning his palm in the process. Kratos decides that the knife must accompany the boy in the adventure that is about to begin, beginning with the hunt for a deer. Atreus, after shooting the animal with his bow, ends its life with the knife, sticking its blade into the stag's jugular with the help of his father.
Atreus then loses the knife when they run into Freya. Kratos finds it and returns it to him. Atreus assures that from then on he will take better care of it.
Atreus ends up breaking Laufey's knife after attempting to stop a trap in Tyr's Temple. Kratos gives him a new knife, one made from metals from both Greece and Scandinavia.
