This is the fifth and final challenge of the Challenge of Hades. There are no restrictions, Kratos only needs to kill all of the enemies that come at him. However, there are a lot of enemies to face. It starts with flocks of Harpies, followed by groups of Hoplites, followed by Gorgons, and then Cyclops. After that, it then goes back to Gorgons, followed by Hoplites, and finally Harpies.
Strategy[]
This will be the longest challenge but also one of the easiest. The player has ample room to deal with this fight as they please, and there are two chests to refill.
The Harpies are best deal with with Grab Kills. Since they tend to fly away from Kratos, it is best to use the Blades of Chaos' Light Attacks to stun them while approaching them for a O button execution. Do it with the surrounding Harpies and they should be deal with easily, while avoiding their damage.
Hopelites will appear in between, potentially interrupting this procedure. Since Hoplites can be kicked away with a O button grab, they can also provide invincibility frame for the player to act with impunity. The Sun Shield can be used to counter their slashing attack.
Gorgons will appear after, and likely when no Harpie remains alive. They will be troublesome enemies in conjunction with the Hoplites but can be easily dealt with. The Gauntlet of Zeus can deal tremendous damage to them while preventing them from acting. Charon's Wrath can be used to stun them while the player pummels them. Since Gorgons yield Blue Orbs when killed through Quick Time Events, one can refill Magic to abuse this strategy to an extent.
Finally Cyclops will appear. Interestingly the Cyclops are not threatening as they are the basic variant of Cyclops rather than an armored one. As such the Gauntlet of Zeus can exterminate them easily. Charon's Wrath works to halt their attacks.
As the challenge will now cycle enemies in reverse order, the player should be familiar with how to deal with them. If in need of HP or Magic, it is best to reserve some of Charon's Wrath to stun foes so one can open chests without interruption. However, by doing the above steps, it is entirely possible to beat the challenge without opening any chest.
