The Einherjar Captains are a type of Einherjar that appear in God of War Ragnarök

Apparence

Unlike other Einherjar, this type of Einherjar wears very large iron armor that covers his entire body, except for his eyes. These Einherjar have different weapons than the rest, as they have a scythe or a giant hammer.

Although all of these Einherjar are the same, there are some that are different, such as Fiske, who has gold armor, or Stinnr, who has purple armor, and Sterkr, who has red armor.

"I understand you encountered your first Einherjar Captain while alone in Vanaheim with Lady Freya. You'll never see these aggressive individuals without their Asgard-forged weapon-of-choice: the scythe. Primitive weapon if you ask me, but they've made up for it with the rather annoying addition of Bifröst energy. Carrying the weight of such a cumbersome weapon, they move a bit slower, but once in range of that blade, one may find themselves without a head a bit sooner than expected."

Powers and Abilities

• Immortality: Like all Einherjar, they are immortals and will simply be banished back to Valhalla when slain.
• Bifrost Energy Manipulation: Also like all Einherjar, they can enchant his weapons with Bifrost.
• Superhuman Strength: Like the rest of the Einherjar, the Einherjar Captains are very strong, perhaps stronger than the normal ones but not as strong as the Einherjar Brutes, although one of them was able to catch and subdue Atreus without problem.
• Master Combatant: The Einherjar are quite skilled warriors, although the Einherjar Captains would have a higher level of combat skill since thanks to this they are called "Captains"
  • Weapon Mastery: As mentioned before, the Einherjar are very skilled in combat, especially the captains, and this also allows them to be masters in handling weapons.

Weapons

• Scythe: One of the most common weapons of the Einherjar captain, a scythe, with it they can imbue with Bifrost but also move the blade part to make an attack with it. Known carriers are Fiske, Sterkr and others.
• Hammer: Another weapon these Einherjar often use, a giant, heavy hammer, is capable of even destroying their helmet and head. Known wielders of this weapon is Stinnr and others.
