The Brute Einherjar are a type of Einherjar that appear in God of War Ragnarök.
Apparence[]
Unlike other Einherjar, this type of Einherjar wears armor that covers its entire body except its eyes, mouth, and part of its arms. In addition, unlike the others, these Einherjar fight using gauntlets.
Their helmet has two long horns and finally, unlike the others, these are the only ones that have a beard.
Codex[]
Hardly a more fitting title than Brute, although perhaps applicable to more than one rank of Odin's soldiers. If memory serves, this title was granted if a newly- incarnate Einherjar completed some feat or other. Last I heard, it was accomplished by wearing the jaws of ten enemies that had been ripped from their owners' heads with their bare hands.
Powers and abilities[]
- Immortality: Like all Einherjar, they are immortals and will simply be banished back to Valhalla when slain.
- Bifrost Energy Manipulation: Also like all Einherjar, they can enchant his weapons with Bifrost.
- Superhuman Strength: Like the rest of the Einherjar, these Einherjar possess brute strength, even stronger than the Einherjar Captain, they are so strong that they are capable of damaging and moving Kratos.
- Teleportation: Using Bifröst, the Einherjar Brutes can teleport away from Kratos and attack him later, taking him by surprise.
- Healing Stones: Einherjar Brutes rarely have a green healing stone to heal themselves when fighting Kratos, although this can be prevented by attacking him in time with the shield.
- Master Combatant: The Einherjar are quite skilled warriors, thanks to their life as a warrior and the training they receive in Asgard.
- Hand-to-Hand Combatant Mastery: Unlike the other Einherjar, who use different types of weapons and fight with them, Brute Einherjar only use gauntlets and fight hand to hand.
Weapons[]
- Gauntlets: They are the preferred weapons of these Einherjar, with them they can break Kratos' defense.
