Egil The Oath Guard is a boss introduced in God of War: Ragnarök. He is one of the Oath Guards and a former brother of Birgir.

Description

Egil is a strong devoter and follower of Odin's warrior's code known as The Path, believing that there is enlightenment and fortune awaiting in Jötunheim. He was unaware that the code is merely a trick of Odin's so that the All-father could trick them into finding a way into the realm of the giants. Though Egil's brother Birgir tried to beg his brothers to abandon The Path, they only now see him as a heretic.

Egil's armor and equipment is the same as the Traveler Champion but the main difference is that while the normal Traveler Champion has a grey and green-yellow skin that is akin to Seiðr Reavers his skin is the same as normal humans.
