The arena is unlocked after finishing the game on any difficulty. With this, the player can select up to two different types of enemies to fight, as well as how many of each type, and if they will respawn when killed, or not, or put them normal or infinite health. You can also choose how you want the health, magic, costume, backdrop and difficulty level. Other items like additional enemies, backdrops and costumes, are released into the Temple of Zeus.

It must be noted that even with the infinite health setting, if Kratos is petrified or frozen by a Gorgon or a Harpy Widow, he can still be shattered and die.
