Chaos Flames are used to upgrade the Blades of Chaos in God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök, and are typically found by defeating powerful bosses.
In God of War (2018)[]
Up to 4 Chaos Flames can be obtained in God of War (2018):
- Defeat Máttugr Helson in Helheim.
- Defeat the Grendel of the Frost and Grendel of the Ashes in Temple of Týr.
- Defeat the first Traveller encountered in the second visit to Helheim.
- Purchase from Brok or Sindri, using the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim obtained from defeating Göndul.
In God of War Ragnarök[]
Up to 8 Chaos Flames can be obtained in God of War Ragnarök:
- The Dreki in Svartalfheim
- The Forest Ancient in Vanaheim
- The Frost Phantom at the Well of Urd
- Drekis in Vanaheim
- The Soul Eaters in Muspelheim
- Clear the first 6 trials in Muspelheim
- Haklangr the Bearded in Vanaheim
- Collect Chaos Sparks by closing all 6 Draugr Holes
