Shortly after he acquired the Gauntlet of Zeus and ventured forth on the Chains of the Titan, Hyperion, Kratos arrived on a rocky platform where he noticed that the shackles that held Atlas were broken and plagued Kratos' thought on who released him. Kratos jumped on two of the geared platforms of the chains which he then pulled the lever counter-clockwise and finally arrived to a raised area where he found one the anvils of the chains, and with the Gauntlet of Zeus, punched it to a far wall. After he ran on the chain, Kratos jumped to the rocky wall, climbed his way out of Tartarus, and back to the surface of the Underworld.
