The Celtic lands are a region of the World that are located somewhere south of the Norse world. Although it has never appeared in in the God of War franchise, it is known to be the birthplace of Mimir and also where the Fae come from.
Mimir only ever refer to it as his homeland, the name "Celtic lands" is only used by this article for convenience's sake until or unless the location gets an actual formal name in-universe.
Description[]
The land is mostly known from the stories of Mimir, which informs that there is a place called Avalon, and that in these lands the Fae exist, Mimir being one of them, and they are ruled by King Oberon. It can be assumed that also there are Gods in the Celtic lands, and Mimir also mentions that there are Witches there.
In God of War series[]
Past[]
Long ago, before the events of God of War, the current Norse god of wisdom and knowledge, Mimir, lived in these lands as it was his birthplace, he was a Fae also known as "Puck" or "Robin Goodfellow".
He was King Oberon's jester and frequently along with other Fairies did mischief to mortals to make Oberon laugh. His king eventually got tired of the jokes and antics, forcing Mimir to leave his homeland. A long time after leaving Avalon, Mimir arrived in the Norse world.
At some point, Týr traveled to this Earth for unknown reasons, but like his other journeys, in the end he takes with him various treasures that he obtained and also gained knowledge of the Celtic Lands.[1]

In the vault of Týr, among his treasures from other Lands, Atreus takes a knife called sgian-dubh, which Mimir mentions comes from his homeland. Finally. in the lost triptych of the Týr panel, four different symbols of different Lands are seen, which includes the triskellion, a famous Celtic symbol.[1]

More mentions are made to the Celtic Lands through Mimir's tales, notably his story about an influential thane being misled by witches into misinterpreting a prophecy. The Kelpie[2] and The Lady of the Forge[3] are also indicated to have come from Mimir's homeland.
