The Barbarian Hammer is also present in God of War: Ascension's Multiplayer. Its redesigned version can be unlocked via white chests in all game modes. Here, the Barbarian Hammer is a brutal weapon that can even power up its owner with soul power.

In the Beta demo, it was mentioned that the Barbarian Hammer could be unlocked by defeating 10 opponents, using a brutal kill. This was later changed in the finished product, to make it a fragment weapon.
