Attica is a costal city region in ancient Greece, pressumable in the area around the city of Athens. During the Greco-Persian Wars, the Persian Armies advanced to Attica before reaching Thermopylae.

In God of War: Chains of Olympus, this is where Kratos begins his quest. It's where he fights off an invading Persian army, the Persian King, and ultimately the Basilisk.
