The Army of Sparta is a magic from the Blades of Exile. It allows you to summon soldiers to form a phalanx to protect you like Helios did in the demo; it not only protects you, but the soldiers throw their spears at enemies. If the magic is leveled up, the soldiers will grow in numbers and deal more damage. At the highest level, tapping the circle button will make arrows rain down around you after the spear thrust.

Trivia

  • The formation that the shields and spears form around Kratos, when the spell is activated, is reminiscent of a similar battle formation that was commonly used by Spartan hoplites, and other ancient Greek spearmen.
