In God of War III
Both maidens engage in a threesome with Aphrodite on her bed until Kratos arrives. After noticing his presence, they stop caressing and kissing their mistress to confront him, but Aphrodite orders them to leave, which they both obey. After flirting with Kratos for a while, Aphrodite offers him to stay and sleep with her. If he accepts, the maidens appear from behind a column to watch them make love. They begin by touching and caressing each other while exchanging erotic—sometimes envious—comments about Kratos and Aphrodite. After a while, if the player manages to complete the minigame, they become so aroused that the brunette turns around and pushes her companion to the ground and climbs on top of her, beginning to make love on the floor. If the player fails the minigame, however, they both become frightened and shake their heads in disappointment.
If Kratos returns to the room from the Hyperion Gate, the two handmaidens reappear on Aphrodite's bed, bowing toward her, but leave giggling upon noticing Kratos's return. And if Kratos resumes relations with his mistress, they reappear from behind the pillar, repeating their acts and comments again.
Appearance
As servants of the Goddess of Love and Beauty, both are beautiful and exhibitionist women. One is tall and slender, with shoulder-length blond hair, light skin, green eyes, and small breasts. The other is shorter but voluptuous, with dark skin, violet eyes, chin-length black hair, and large breasts (even larger than Aphrodite's).
Both dress simply and scantily in short nightgowns made from a pair of short white sheets that leave their breasts exposed (although in the censored version, they have a longer nightgown underneath that covers them), and a third white sheet underneath that covers their crotches and rear ends. Like their mistress, they go barefoot and bare their arms, stomachs, breasts, and legs.
Personality
Although their personalities are not well known, both women apparently share the carefree and promiscuous nature of their mistress, Aphrodite. They both enjoy sex and do not hesitate to please Aphrodite when she asks, or among them when their mistress makes love to someone else. They also seem to envy their mistress at times, as they openly express their annoyance that Aphrodite won't let them be with Kratos, or any other man, apparently.
The brunette seems to be the more dominant of the two, as she is the one who takes the blonde to spy on her mistress making love. And it is the brunette who initiates the relationship after seeing Kratos and his mistress, pushing the blonde to the floor and climbing on top of her to make love to her.
Despite this, both have some modesty, as they warn that children shouldn't be watching them as it is "mature audience only" (although this is a joke about breaking the fourth wall).

- Aphrodite's Handmaidens are voiced by Holly Fields and Erin Matthews.
- It is interesting to note that the Handmaidens, excluding Daedalus and Poseidon's Princess, are the only visible mortals who remained unaffected by the plague. This could be because they were not outside when the plague broke out, it may also be because they are needed by the Gods and that the Gods protected them.
- It could also be that the two handmaidens are in fact the goddesses Peitho and Paregoros, the handmaidens of Aphrodite in the mythology, who were two of the 3.000 Oceanides themselves the immortals daughters of Oceanus and Tethys.
- Although this is unlikely, since, according to myth, all the Oceanids share the same appearance for being all twins; while the appearance of both handmaidens differs radically. Furthermore, both are portrayed as "mortals" rather than as "goddesses", as would befit the Oceanids. Therefore, they are not two Oceanids, only two humans womens with no apparent kinship.
- Although the role of maidens is more like servants, Aphrodite seems to use them primarily as lovers for her pleasure. This is obviously because few men can reach her.
- One of their expressions during the minigame has them break the fourth wall by warning the viewers for mature content, much like the Motion Picture Association of America film rating's system does.
- If Kratos goes to the corner where the handmaidens are, the player can not see them. If Kratos uses any attack on that corner, they will be heard laughing.
- They are one of the few mortals to show no fear of Kratos, which is noteworthy as most are terrified of him.
- The figures of both handmaidens seem to represent the two extremes of Aphrodite's figure: one is tall and thin with light skin and hair; and the other is shorter and voluptuous with dark skin and hair.
