Brok wants you to help him find his dead friend - the same one whose hand you found on a Soul Reaver in the Volunder Mines. To learn more, you need to meet him at the Landsuther Mines. To get there, once the Lake of Nine has lowered its waters again, look for a new tunnel to the West of the Statue of Thor, and take it through the Landsuther Canyon to a new shore. Look for a hanging bucket of Hacksilver, and more on the ground before heading through a narrow passage deeper towards the mine entrance. As you jump across the next gap and hop up to a ledge, you'll find one of Odin's green glowing Ravens watching you from across a ledge on some wooden planks. Once down in the ravine, talk to Brok to learn more about how Andvari survived death. Brok thinks that Andvari stashed a lot of his tools further in the mine - including a special hammer that he wants you to find.

Search for Andvari's Hammer[]

Enter through the sealed gate using the Entry Stone and head under a small passage into the first main room. There are several Tatzelwurms here, and somehow they can burrow through the wooden floor to dive at you. Try laying down a stunning runic attack or summon to keep them dazed and clumped together while you rush them, or throw your axe at the burrowing trails to force them up. Once they die, have a look around the room to spot an upper ledge with a switch that will send a pallet of stones crashing down. There's another one next to it full of red sap, so climb up the other pallet and have Atreus shoot a Shock Arrow to send it down and through the floor. This will open up a new area, and also cause several angry Dark Elves to fly up and attack. Even if they can fly, you can still push them into the pit, or have Atreus stun them for you to clean up. Before heading down into the pit, look down into it and across from where you would climb down. You will see wooden panels covering a Coffin.  Break the panels then begin to climb down. When you are level with the coffin move to the left (or right) to side step onto the ledge, allowing you to access the coffin.  Inside you will find 1 Solid Svartalfheim Steel and 3 World Serpent Scales.

Continue down into the newly opened pit and you'll find the elves have been busy making a nest of sorts. Clear out the Nightmare and look around the water for a hanging bucket of Hacksilver, and a Hacksilver Chest behind a small waterfall. You can also look back the way you came for a side passaged blocked by two root cores leading to a Coffin that holds Solid Svartalfheim Steel and 3 World Serpent Scales. Near the small river, look for a lift on the left to take you back up to the main floor above. There's a Coffin here holding Solid Svartalfheim Steel and 3 World Serpent Scale, as well as a Treasure Map: Kneel Before Thor. Climb up the path past the waterfall and look for a wooden barricade hiding a Hacksilver Chest, then move forward to cut down three root cores to find a small passage to a new chamber. Here you can look down to spot a Soul Reaver Ancient AND a Traveler Champion. However, upon closer inspection, the Soul Reaver is dead - so have no fears about taking them both on at once. As you drop down, a few Nightmares appear that you can kill with precise axe throws, then combat the Traveler. Eventually, a few Tatzelwurms will appear to complicate things - so hang back and make sure they come to you to get killed while leading the Traveler to chase you. When the wurms are dead, focus back on the Traveler and choose your hits carefully to slowly but surely kill him. Climb up past the dead Soul Reaver and cross the river to a barricade where a Hacksilver Chest lies behind it. Now drop down and go left along the river to get rid of two root cores leading to a Coffin back on the other side of the water that holds a Legendary Enchantment: Shard of the Elements.

Moving on to the next chamber, several Dark Elves will try and ambush you. The close quarters don't work in their favor however, and you can use a wide-reaching knockback attack or Runic Attack to send them crashing into the nearby water to die instantly. Climb up to the higher ledge and jump a small gap, then turn left first to jump to another platform you can climb up above to find a Hacksilver Chest, and then take the zipline back down. Take the main passage back around above where you came in to find a switch that lifts a pallet up - allowing you to climb to the top level of this chamber. Here you'll be attacked by a Dark Elf Lord, and many of his trusty followers. Remember that if you stun the smaller Dark Elves, you can line them up for a finisher and actually send them flying at the lord to deal additional damage. Make use of freezing attacks to keep them on the ground whenever possible or bait their melee attacks to parry and reflect. Be ready to dodge back whenever the Dark Elf Lord emits the smoke bombs or you'll risk fighting blind. After killing the group, you'll get an Epic Talisman from the Lord - Aegir's Protection. After killing the Dark Elf Lord, look across the ravine to the Northeast to spot a glowing green raven on some rocks under scaffold. Boost Atreus up next to the sealed gate to have him open it for you, and then head into the chamber to find Andvari's Hammer in a Legendary Chest. Now, to leave this place, you'll need a way through the blocked area in the corner - look for a mine cart up the hill and give it a push to send it crashing through to open a path, just watch out for a Tatzelwurm.

As you head out of the newly created path, be sure to look for a small Lore Scroll on the floor - The Soul Eaters. Return to Brok and you'll get an unexpected reward: Andvari's Soul - an Epic Enchantment that has a very high chance to gain health back on any Runic Attack kill.
